Is this approved traffic school?

Yes. Our 4-Hour Defensive Driving Course (also referred to as 4-Hour Driver Education Course or Traffic School) has been approved by the Tennessee Department of Safety.

I have been court-ordered to take a course to remove a traffic violation, is this course I need?

If you have been ordered by a Tennessee court to take a 4-Hour traffic school or defensive driving to remove a traffic violation then this is the course for you. Once you have completed the course present your certificate of completion to the court.

I received a notice from the Department of Safety because I have too many points on my record, do I need defensive driving?

In most cases you will be required to take a driver improvement, defensive driving or traffic school course if you have 7 or more points on your license. If you are unsure, check with the court where you received your citation as to which type of course you need. This course will meet your requirements if you were court-ordered and/or have less than 12 points accumulated.

Is this course online?

Yes, this is not a classroom course. The course and exam are taken 100% online. You can log on and off as needed & our system will save your progress.

Is everything I need to take the course online?

Yes. Everything needed to complete the course from start to finish is online.

When will I receive my certificate of completion?

Upon successful completion of the course, you will have the option to download your certificate immediately.

What do I need to do after completing the course?

Once you have completed the course you will need to download and print a copy of your completion certificate and present this to the applicable court.

How long is the course and do I have to complete it all at once?

The Tennessee traffic school course is 4 hours long and can be completed when you want. You can log in and out of the course as many times as you need to complete the course and our system will save your progress. There is no maximum time limit which provides you with the flexibility to work at your own pace and the convenience of being able to complete the course on your schedule.

Is there a final exam?

Yes. There is a 20 question final exam that you must score 80% or higher. But remember, you are guaranteed to pass the course as you can attempt the final exam as many times as needed.
